OASIS is trying make standard XML schemas for the some very common business uses. The actual schemas are based on the xCBL from CommerceOne and SAP.
I think this is a useful and much-needed development. These are very common needs, and there is no reason to have multiple flavors.
The first version includes:
- Order
- Order Response
- Order Response Simple
- Order Change
- Order Cancellation
- Despatch Advice
- Receipt Advice
- Invoice
