Windows Media Photo (WMP aka HD Photo) Specification 1.0

Microsoft has released version 1.0 of the Windows Media Photo specification, the Microsoft competitor to JPEG and JPEG2000. They are also calling it "HD Photo". They also have portable ANSI C code available in the device porting kit. Some general information is available on Bill Crowe's blog. (via bink.nu).
